AGREEMENT made this 4th day of August One thousand nine hundred
Between HO A MEI and HO LAE PON of Victoria Hongkong Gentlemen
(hereinafter called "the Vendors") of the one part and ELEAZAR
SILAS KELLY and ELLIS KELLY of Victoria aforesaid Gentlemen
(hereinafter called "the Purchasers") of the other part
IT IS HEREBY AGREED between the parties hereto as follows:-
The Vendors will sell and the Purchasers will purchase ALL THAT
piece or parcel of ground known by the name of Ngau Tau Kok in the
New Territory with its boundaries or abuttalas as set forth in a
Lease registered in the Land Office by Memorial No.28588 and all
the rights interest claim and demand whatsoever of the Vendors un-
der or by virtue of the said Lease.
The Purchase money shall be $80,000 payable in full by the
Purchasers to the Vendors on completion of the purchase.
The purchase will be completed within 2 years from the date
of this Agreement or as soon as the Vendors or either of them
shall have established and given or proper and unimpeded possession of the said premises hereby agreed to be sold
to the Purchasers.
The Vendors or either of them shall use their or his best
endeavours to prove their title to the said premises and shall
take such steps or actions as shall be or cause to be done such
other things as may be required or advised by the Purchasers and
all expenses incidental to or in connection therewith shall be
borne by the Purchasers equally.
In the event of the said premises being used as a quarry the
Purchasers hereby agree to engage the services of Mr. William Camb
as blasters for the work or in lieu thereof pay to the Vendors
$2,000 in addition to the purchase money hereby agreed to be paid.
If the Vendors or either of them shall fail to prove their
title to the said premises within 2 years from the date hereof the
Purchasers shall at any time thereafter have the option of cancel-
